Fornax post-cure ovens are built for heat treatment of the root ends of wind turbine blades.
The ovens are designed to fit the diameter and design of the root end. Once the root of the wing has been pushed into the oven chamber, a bellow fills with air shaping itself to the contour of the wing and – in doing so – isolating the rest of the wing. The strong circulation of heated air ensures an even heating of the end of the turbine blade to 140 °C.
